Kinton
Is made by steaming the chestnut with sugar. The name "kinton" derived from the yellow color of the chestnut. Recently, it`s made by boiling chinese yam with sugar, colored orange yellow with cape jasmine (gardenia) and mixing chestnut⋅ and boiled arrowhead in it. From the late Edo period, chunks of sweet red bean⋅ paste were added.
